On Stage Hair & Makeup

On Stage hair style for recital & pictures

1) Part hair DOWN THE MIDDLE OF THE DANCERS HEAD
2) Brush all hair into a low ponytail
3) Spray a good amount of hairspray to keep all the fly aways down
4) Smooth all hair down into a hair tie that MATCHES THEIR HAIR COLOR. No crazy colors!
5) Secure the ponytail at the base of their neck
6) Spray down once again with hairspray to contain any flyways that might have escaped

*THIS IN AN OLDER VIDEO WHERE THE PART IS IN A DIFFERENT PLACE. FOR THE 2022 RECITAL, THE PART IN DOWN THE MIDDLE. THE PROCESS IS THE EXACT SAME TO CREATE THE LOOK.

Why does my dancer have to wear full stage makeup at recital?
The stage lights are extremely bright. By wearing darker makeup under these lights, it will help define facial features. Stage lights will wash out dancers appearance creating a look of being very pale or not having a face at all.

1) Brown palette for eye shadows. Please refer to the video for additional guidance.
2) Burgundy shades for blush and lips
3) Black eyeliner and mascara
